1. Return Policy

At Golden Age Map Store, we are committed to ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. We understand that purchasing antique maps and related items online requires trust, and we strive to honour that trust. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a return policy under the following conditions:

  • Eligibility for Returns: Items must be returned within 30 days of receipt. To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition that you received it, undamaged, with a receipt or proof of purchase.

  • Condition: Please note that all products are genuine antiques, sometimes up to 500 or more years old, and may show defects due to their age. Defects may include, but are not limited to, folds and creases, tears, age marks, soiling, water marks, damage caused by insects, marks made by previous owners, non-contemporary colouring or other effects that have been caused in time. All products sold by The Rare Map Store will include a description of their condition, noting any particular defects. It is the customer's responsibility to understand the condition and examine any photos provided carefully before purchasing. 

2. Refund Policy

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a certain number of days. Please note:

  • Refund Time Frame: Refunds may take up to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider.

3. Shipping Returns

  • Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for paying for their own shipping costs for returning an item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 
  • Shipping Insurance: Considering the value of the items, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
